We are on a mission to empower communities in Selangor! In July, Epic Lead Pathfinders began basic mapping and conversations with village leaders to activate their local resources to develop their own communities. We have received their support to take the next step: Community Mapping.

We are looking for individuals to join us as volunteer Pathfinders, to interview community members and collect information that will enable the sharing of community stories in a dignified and accurate manner to invite collaborators to partner alongside these communities to enable positive impact.

Who are Pathfinders?
Pathfinders assist the Lead Pathfinders to engage with communities. They use conversational skills to gather accurate information and data, which can then be used to tell compelling stories that inspire change.

Pathfinders must be able to speak Malay at a basic conversational level.

Interested but don't know what to expect or don't have the skillset to do so? Don't worry! We provide the training to equip you with the necessary skills to do so! (This training is compulsory for all).

About Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Garing

A captivating village situated at Hulu Selangor which is 15 minutes from the town of Rawang. The village is home to nine families, and their goals revolve around enhancing the villagers' quality of life and promoting more communal engagement. This encompasses the establishment of a communal hall intended for gatherings and various events.

We are looking for 4 Pathfinders to map this village.
Mapping date & time: 2 September 2023, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
