Mission Description

Mapping Kampung Orang Asli Pergom, Kerawat & Pos Raya (Simpang Pulai)

Join us to enable community impact

We are on a mission to empower communities in Perak! In April, Epic Lead Pathfinders began basic mapping and conversations with village leaders to activate their local resources to develop their own communities. We have received their support to take the next step: Community Mapping.

We are looking for individuals to join us as volunteer Pathfinders, to interview community members and collect information that will enable the sharing of community stories in a dignified and accurate manner to invite collaborators to partner alongside these communities to enable positive impact.

If you have a passion for communities, enjoy having conversations or like to explore new places and meet new people, we're inviting you to join us as Pathfinders to map a cluster of villages n Simpang Pulai, Perak. Find out more about this village below!

About Kampung Orang Asli Pergom, Kerawat, Juang, Karbag

A village located in Kinta Simpang Pulai is a 20-minute drive from Gopeng, Perak. These villages are a cluster home to approximately 600 people which consist of tribes that are Temiar, Semai, Iban, Kadazan and even local Malay as well as Thai. These villages all fall under one village leader and are 5 minutes away from each other along the road. The area surrounding the village is a forest reserve and it is where the locals collect their natural produce mainly bamboo. The locals aspire to have better business practices to improve their livelihood and homes for better living conditions.
