A community project to refurbish Millennium Park

Gear up lads and ladies! If you're a Subang youth with an itch to contribute to the community, this is one SPECIAL opportunity for you. Millennium Park in SS13 hasn't been active for a while now, and it's time to be the force of change by signing up as a DIY Builder or fellow gotong-royonger!

We're developing Millennium Park together with the community, and the journey starts here. You get to build stuff for a public park with your own hands, how cool is that? (Quite.) We start by building a small community centre and prototyping a few simple DIY furniture with the local community of SS13 that serves to build relationships and contribute to the park's future activities & programmes.

The built community centre helps to collect ideas from nearby communities to propose and vote ideas that will be developed in our upcoming Millennium Park Launch Festival in mid-March 2017. This, by the way, is bigger and better. Hang in for more details!

PARTICIPANTS' CRITERIA

• A Subang Youth! (above 16 yrs old, stays / studies / works here)
• Would enjoy learning some DIY / Building skills (NO SKILLS NEEDED)
• LOVES community projects & people in general
• If you're interested to just see & experience what we're doing, feel free to come anyway!

WHAT TO EXPECT

• A briefing before the event
• Sweating like crazy, but having fun still
• Meeting and engaging with new friends
• FREE FOOD! (promise.)

You're going to contribute to renewing this old park to something completely built by the hands of enterprising, youthful spirit of the Subang community. Join us in this adventure with an open heart and stay smiling :) We look forward to meeting you fellow Subang-ites!
