A Craft Weaving Workshop by the Kampung Orang Asli Hulu Kuang Community Champion

In Kampung Orang Asli Hulu Kuang, a handful of remaining artisans keep a traditional craft alive. Recognising that this knowledge is at risk of extinction, the community is set out to preserve it. This workshop allows them the chance to tell their story to the world.

Learn the traditional craft of weaving a Jaras basket using bertam leaves, it will be guided step-by-step by skilled craftspeople from Kampung Orang Asli Hulu Kuang.

Every participant will take home their own handwoven basket at the end of the workshop.
