Mission Description

Covid-19 Orang Asli Outreach

ABOUT THE MISSION

Together with Medical Outreach Petaling Jaya (MOPJ) and MACO (Medical Awareness Camp Outreach (MACO), Epic is delivering COVID-19 awareness classes for the Orang Asli (OA) Community. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit three weekends (just one day each weekend) to help teach and facilitate in these workshops.

With them, we are delivering a pilot workshop in two villages. Each workshop is 2 hours and caters only for 20 pax of OA. At the end of the pilot, we hope to be able to run more workshops for Orang Asli communities with the volunteers teaching and leading!

Volunteers will be trained on the 6th of September from 11am - 1pm @ The Compass, Subang Jaya, on how the workshop is being run by MOPJ and MACO.

The next weekend volunteers with MOPJ and MACO will conduct the workshop in Kampung Gerachi Jaya.

And will follow up the next weekend with the same workshop in another village.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

A medical background is not necessary
Able to speak English and BM
Able to commit to each date described for this pilot

Mission Impact

This mission is improving the health and well being of the communities it is working with by providing COVID-19 awareness workshops to highlight the importance of health and hygiene in combatting the virus.
