[Week 3 & Week 4 Update]
Hiii~~ Greetings from Clean Our Plate Project from AIESEC in UPM <3
We are back to update the activities we have done in Week 3 and Week 4!!
In Week 3 and Week 4, our volunteers have conducted a series of podcasts, online school workshops and also webinars!!
In the first podcast, they have discussed the definition of food waste, the relation of it with government policy and the serious effects it creates. They have also shared how we can do our parts in reducing food waste!

Podcast #1 - Feed The Hungry, Not The Landfill
In this podcast, our volunteers have shared their knowledge they gained from our Learning Partner - Dr Sarah & Miss Hawa from Green Waste Selangor! The topics they have covered are the serious effects of improper oil disposal, NGOs you can donate the used cooking oil to and other ways you can tackle the oil.

Podcast #2 - Oil spillers are land killers
In this last podcast, our volunteers have shared with us what youth can do with food waste and how we can contribute our effort to influence the community!

Podcast #3 - Youth Empowerment on Food Waste

Besides the podcasts, our volunteers have delivered their knowledge about food waste management to the secondary school students and Daikin employees too!

Daikin Zero Food Waste Webinar
They have guided the participants how to do eco-enzyme and composting step-by-step by using household food waste. As a result, the food waste will not end up in landfills and create harmful methane gas that causes global warming.

On the fourth day, in order to harvest the students’ learnings from the previous workshops, we have launched a pitching competition so that students can do a presentation on “The Interesting Ways to Reduce Food Waste in School”. We are really amazed by the creative ideas that have been pitched by all the students!!
