Clean Water for the village
One of the critical issues that plagues the village is water. There are only two sources of water in the village - groundwater and ponds located nearby. JAKOA has installed water tanks long ago for water to be pumped from the ground. However, the pumps are not properly maintained and have thus broken down.
Water obtained from the nearby ponds are not clean and lacking during the dry seasons. The water flow from the ponds to the village is very slow, giving the ponds an appearance of being still and stagnant with the occasional slight movement.
Lack of proper access to clean water has affected the village in terms of hygiene, sanitation and the way they use their existing toilets. To the villagers, solving the water problem would feel like heaven on earth.
