Building Orang Asli Homestays as part of a community-driven initiative

Hi fellow builders!

We are having a unique build experience in Kg Orang Asli Serendah this December 2021 to January 2022. These homestays are part of a social economic empowerment programme that Epic is partnering with another social enterprise called Native and the local community to operate this community-driven tourism activities in the village.

The design of the homestay uses vernacular bamboo architecture which local skills and materials integrated into the design. SEAD build is our technical partner and expert in bamboo design and construction in Malaysia who will help us to build the homestays together with the local community builders.

This entire programme is also made possible by 3Mgives grant that funded the whole initiative and the homestays.
