Mission Impact

CAT Walk is a low-impact guided day trip trekking at Sungai Yu Tiger Corridor, which is the last forested areas connecting two largest forest complexes in Malaysia – the Banjaran Titiwangsa and Taman Negara, in Pahang. The wildlife and their habitat at the Corridor is being threatened by people who illegally hunt wildlife, cut down trees and mine earth minerals for personal gains.

CAT Walkers presence at the corridor helps protect the wildlife and the habitat by looking for signs of such crimes and report the findings to the MYCAT Wildlife Crime Hotline (019-356 4194) who relays the information to authority for enforcement action.

Since the inception of CAT Walk in 2010, 1554 volunteers from 33 countries have disarmed 156 snares while walking and protecting 2,743 km of the Corridor.

We need to keep our guards high. Come join the effort and be part of our conservation efforts in saving our beloved Malayan tiger and also for a learning experience about our Malaysian forest, download the Citizen Action for Tigers brochure at https://goo.gl/Mcj5VX.
