Become a Literacy Champion in our Volunteer Training Workshop!

WHO?

Join our training workshop if you are:

a) already volunteering at any one of the MYReaders reading programmes but have not attended an official MYReaders training.

b) interested to volunteer at the Kerinchi Literacy Hub that has begun since 29th June 2019 every Saturday.

WHEN and WHERE?

13th June 2020 from 10.00 am-12.30 pm on Zoom! We will send you a link to the Zoom call a day before the Volunteer Training Workshop.

WHY?

The Kerinchi Hub has begun on 29th June 2019. We are calling out for passionate individuals who would like to be part of this initiative by spending your Saturday morning reading with a child from the underprivileged community in Kerinchi.

Literacy can be a daunting social challenge to resolve with plenty of technicalities to the solution. Come be equipped with the know-hows at our training workshop for new volunteers joining the Kerinchi Literacy Hub. We will share tips and techniques on how to coach reading effectively, and throw in some fun and incorporate values education in the process!

We believe that everyone has the potential to positively impact a child's life by simply teaching them how to read. This is something that everyone can contribute to, and we want to ensure that our volunteers are sufficiently empowered with the skills and mindsets when reading with a child. Your journey to helping a child master the foundations of reading begins here!
