A New Direction
Our fortnightly ‘street feedings’ has evolved into the new Jalan-Jalan Cari Kawan where our mission is to focus on building relationships, conversations and communicating vital information to our street friends.

Each volunteer will gather at Central Market at the usual timing of 8.30pm, they will be briefed on the mission as well as our new Info Help Cards which will have all the resources and contacts our street friends could use. (E.g. where to get Medical Assistance, Shelter, Designated Feeding locations, Counselling, Welfare Aid, etc.)

Each volunteer can pay-it-forward by purchasing just 1 or 2 bottle(s) of water from The Viva Starfish Project (a social business who provides jobs and shelter for the homeless, ex-prisoners and former drug addicts and graduates from rehab centres in order to give them a second chance at life as well as the profits of each bottle goes towards the education of underprivileged children) for that particular street friend you’ll be meeting.

Meet up Point: Central Market Parking (Under the LRT Rail)

Attire: Wear a black/white top and good walking shoes (stop wearing slippers, we seriously jalan-jalan cari kawan); bring your own drinking water or buy from us.

We do encourage every volunteer to complete the journey from start to end (including the debriefing back at base) but understand transportation is an issue at times. Try carpooling, you’ll be surprise how many like-minded volunteers may just be passing your way, secondly plan ahead and join a team that has easy access to a LRT station or finishes slightly earlier. We do have to advise if you are only coming for less than an hour you might as well stay home or plan ahead for the next Street Feeding as we only want the best experience for everyone.

Areas We Are Covering:

• Clock Tower + Leboh Pasar + Dataran Merdeka (The more scenic route)
• Bangkok Bank (A friendly community with not too much walking)
• Kota Raya + Mydin (This route can be overwhelming at times but you'll make it back to base by 11pm)
• Menara Maybank + Overhead Bridge + UTC (A solid route with great interaction, a must for all especially for first timmers)
• Chinatown (See a very different side of the city)

Registration is required via Sedunia.
