Mari House is open to volunteers Oct weekend (7th, 14th, 15th, 22nd)! Join in and learn the basics about farming, explore and expand the communal garden and find out more about our farming volunteer membership programme (opening soon!). Get some sunshine in the beautiful Templer Park this weekend with your friends - and come back with new skills and knowledge that you can apply in your own little garden back home.
What is Mari House?
Come and visit our 2-acres event space, with an integrated community farm, maintained by a small group of volunteers on a daily and weekly basis. Our aim is to help people to develop a better idea of where food comes from, reconnecting with the land and the food that grows. Let's raise awareness of healthy living and healthy eating! Dedicated volunteers who commit a certain amount of hours are able to share the harvest with us :slightly_smiling_face:
What happens next
We're expanding our community group to include more hands, to become bigger and better! If you are interested in being a farmer, or have building experience and can advise us on basic farm structures and builds let us know! We will be opening more volunteering opportunities in the following weeks and month.
