This is Caremongering Segambut/Mont Kiara. We provide essential goods (rice, cooking oil, sugar, etc) to people in search of (#iso) help in our Segambut/Mont Kiara Whatsapp group, Facebook, or other channels.
We have been running since the MCO started, from the funds donated by friends and families, and we purchase the goods & deliver them twice a week to the people in need in Segambut/Mont Kiara areas.
These are mainly low-income families, those who've lost wages, day workers without jobs, foreigners who have problems getting help from government sources. And through the journey we discovered many of them do not have food for a couple of days, many went to bed with empty stomach too.
Currently we have about 50 requests per day, of which about 35 - 40 vetted cases furnish us with complete info which allow us to proceed for delivery. Say 35 requests (per household) x 3 people in a family x RM35 per person with our standard care package, the expenses will be RM3,675+- to fulfill the vetted requests for now (could increase in the future). As of 23/4/2020 we have RM1,646.60 left in our account which can barely last for a week.
