We represent a community of Live Musicians and Entertainers who have been adversely affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO) government directives due to the Covid19 Pandemic. Mostly made up of Club entertainers, we are in a particularly desperate situation as many of the entertainment outlets, pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes have not been able to hire us in the last 6 months since the lockdowns due to economic, security and health reasons.
As a result, many have suffered the indignity of being unable to pay for rentals, utilities, food and medical supplies as well as mortgages. It is with this in mind that we decided in July 2020, to gang up and develop a business platform that would enable us to engage each other and the general public. This platform would allow us the opportunity to help ourselves, rather than relying on the government or other external parties. We currently have about 50 musicians registered with us though we envision there to be more in the future.
Our first business endeavour was the MALAYSIAN MUSICIANS FOOD BAZAAR, held in Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. We organised 17 vendors amongst us to promote and sell Malaysian cuisine as well as clothes, toys, accessories, audio equipment, potted plants, sanitization products and others. We also organised Indoor busking at various spots around Hartamas Shopping Centre and Plaza Damas 3. The success of this Bazaar was followed up with the same concept (now renamed BAZARIA MUZIKA) at Plaza Glomac in Klana Jaya, Damas Suites and Residences, and our latest at ARCORIS, Mont Kiara where we had planned to do a MEGA Bazaar on the 24th of October, which is now cancelled due to the rise in Covid 19 cases.
We have many other business plans and strategies which we wish to see through and are in search of sponsorships and donors, thus the establishment of this group in sedunia.
