What has been accomplished

Volunteers read with 13 children from the community around the Kerinchi PPR flats, many who are from less privileged backgrounds. The children had had fun and were excited to share what they have learnt at the end of the session.

This is a step towards the vision of MYReaders. "One day every child will be able to read."

Recommended
  • Interesting concept to help provide a space/an avenue for children of various ages to learn English. Should the emphasis be made on pronunciation/meaning/communication? Either way, it is an eye opener to anyone not involved in the education line. People should try it, to satisfy one's curiosity.

Final Words

Thank you to all our passionate volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to read with these children. We hope to see you next round!
