Mission Completion Report

04 Jan 2020 - 09 Jan 2020

by SUNWAY SICE

HOSTED BY SUNWAY SICE

A Brief Introduction

The team visited Pets Haven Animal Shelter on 4th January 2020. The team participated in a clean-up session to understand the help that is required by the animal shelter. After having a discussion with the management of the shelter, it became clear that the animal shelter needed people to adopt the animals. Thus, the team launched a campaign in Sunway University College to assist the animal shelter to resolve their problem.

The campaign launched by the team involved participants around Sunway University College Campus to join a ‘lucky draw’ activity. In this activity, participants would have to draw a scarf or watch a video/see pictures of dogs being abused. This activity was done for participants to empathize about dogs being abused and for participants to use their creativity to create a scarf that will help the dogs in the animal shelter to be adopted.  Our activities were advertised on Instagram, a social media platform to raise awareness about dogs being abused and dog’s adoption.

What has been accomplished

The impact of this project is to raise awareness on the stray animals which need help from us and tell people a message about don’t attack them anymore. Moreover, we also encourage people to do adoption to stray animals and give them a warm home. To get away from the animals by injuring them is such a very merciless behaviour. We are planning to educate and appeal to everyone to show their love and proper manner or behaviour to all animals especially stray animals around Malaysia.
